RESERVATIONS:

Holidays: Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Labor Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Day.

HOURS

We are open 7 days a week, closed daily from  12-3pm

Monday-Sunday
9am-12pm / 3pm-5pm

Check-out time is 9am-12pm everyday. Check-outs from 3pm-5pm will have a daycare charge for each guest. Please have guests checked in by 11:30 am or by 4:30 pm on day of checking in. They need to have time to settle in to the new environment.

DAY CARE BY APPOINTMENT

Day Care is available 9am-5pm. Dogs not picked up by 5pm will be considered Boarding Guests and charged an additional full night boarding fee. Day Care does not include meals however; we will serve meals provided by the owner at no additional cost.

HEALTH CARE

Our top priority is the health and safety of our Guests; therefore, every pet must have a Boarding, Day Boarding and Day Care Agreement Form completed prior to his/her stay. This form allows us to get to know your pet, understand their handling preferences, and know their medical history and special needs.

All Guests must be in good health and must not have had or been exposed to any contagious or communicable illnesses within 30 days prior to check-in. Lakeside Pet Retreat LLC advises against boarding guests that have a terminal illness or are in the late stages of that illness.

Guests showing signs of vomiting, coughing, gagging, sneezing, or diarrhea will be taken to a Veterinarian, at the Owner’s expense, for diagnosis and treatment if our staff is concerned for your pet’s condition. Pets showing signs of fleas or ticks will be treated at the owner’s expense.

Guests must possess a temperament that allows our staff to properly take care of them. Allowances may be made for specific temperament issues, but pets cannot pose a danger to our staff.

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

Each Guest must meet our vaccination standards before check-in. Pets requiring vaccination updates must have them updated for Day Care and over night Boarding. Exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis.

Puppies and kittens must be 3 months of age, and have completed their first two series of vaccinations.

ALL DOGS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE

  • Rabies
  • Distemper
  • Bordetella Vaccine (Canine Cough)

FOOD, MEDICATIONS & EXERCISE

Owners provide dog’s/cat’s food from home during their stay. Please bring a labeled container/bag of food with your pet’s name written on it. You can bring it in a plastic tote/container or in the manufacture’s bag. If your dog is active, consider bringing extra food as they tend to burn a lot staying active! If Lakeside Pet Retreat has to drive to the store to purchase your pets food/medication a fee of $30.00 will be added to your pets boarding stay plus the cost of the food/medication.

If meal is to be provided by Lakeside Pet Retreat LLC an additional charge per meal will apply. Food guidelines per manufactures recommendations.

A special blend (high quality) has been chosen for its tastiness and digestibility, making it the perfect choice for dogs/cats in a boarding situation. We serve two meals a day, breakfast in the morning and dinner in the late afternoon. Arrangements can be made if your pet is on a specific feeding schedule or has special requirements.

Lakeside Pet Retreat LLC understands that some of our guests may need special care. Please feel free to discuss any special requirements with us when you make your reservation. We will do everything in our power to make sure your pet is taken care of. The following is a partial list of special needs that we can accommodate:

  • Medications
  • Supplements
  • Extra meals
  • Treats from home
  • Special handling and care

We will be happy to maintain your pet’s health regimen during his or her visit by administering the oral or topical medications, vitamins or supplements that he or she may require. Please bring all medications in the original prescription container, with the pet’s name, dosage and reason for the medication.

There is a veterinarians hospital within 17 miles of our facility. If your pet should require medical attention while in our care, our standard procedure is to contact you or your emergency contact. Should the nature of your pet’s illness require an office visit, we reserve the right to utilize a veterinarian of our choice. A fee of $30.00 per hour will be added to your pets boarding stay for transportation to and from the facility and the wait time for your pets medical attention.

BELONGINGS

We provide comfortable bedding, toys, bowls and blankets for our guest. We ask that we use our items during your pets stay.

GENERAL

The Lakeside Pet Retreat LLC reserves the right to refuse admittance to any pet guest for any reason, at any time, who lacks proof of vaccinations, displays signs of untreated contagious conditions, demonstrates aggressive behavior, or who does not meet our standard health and temperament policies. Our prices, policies, services and hours are not negotiable, and are subject to availability and change without notice. Upon admission for services, your signature of contract acknowledges your awareness and acceptance or our policies.

PAYMENT

Payment is to be made when pet is picked up. No pet will be released unless payment is made in full. Type of payment is at Lakeside Pet Retreat’s discretion.

LONG TERM BOARDING

Clients boarding a pet 30 days or longer are required to pay. If a pet is initially checked in without a definite departure date, even with the intention of boarding less then 30 days, a full 30 day payment must be made at time of check in. Any over payment will be refunded.

A valid credit card must be provided for our file. Fees will automatically be deducted from the account at the beginning of each pay period (the 1st and 15th of the month).

Payment is to be made when pet is checked in. Any over payment will be refunded. If payment is not received, or credit card will not process on the due date, you will be notified by phone. If payment is not received 5 (five) days after due date, it will be assumed that the pet has been abandoned and ownership of said pet relinquished. No further contact will be deemed necessary. At this point said pet will be surrendered to the local Matanuska-Susitna Borough Animal Shelter.

Spa Bath Service

We offer a bath service that can be added to your pets stay. We do not do hair cutting.  You can pick up your pet fresh and clean and he/she will be ready to return home from a fun filled getaway. At check in request the service at that time. We have a spa menu in the lobby to add services. Just let us know and we will add that service to your pets stay.
